Central Bank Dealers Range Indicator

FTMO Trader Scouting
Three questions, on the incoming version:

1) Will it roll over the next day, or does it need to be reapplied?
2) Will putting in "2 days" limit it 2 actual days? (It's currently doing 4)
3) I'd like to limit it to not display on higher time frames, but it isn't respecting the "Visualization" time settings.

Love it, but there's always little bugs. ;D

Hi sqa,

1. It is extra to the current day but there is a bug indeed. I will fix it to just display the days entered.
2. It should already be able to rollover automatically
3. I haven't found a way to get the values from the visualization box yet. It only seems to work with indicator buffers, not with custom drawn lines.

Central Bank Dealers Range D/W/M Indicators

Hi All,

Presenting a few more dealer range indicators:
Daily: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR.ex4
Weekly: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR_WEEKLY.ex4
Monthly: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR_MONTHLY.ex4

The daily is version 1.08:

Fixed an issue with the show number of days

Option include to only show on a particular timeframe: Choose current for all time period, or choose a specific timeframe
I'm not happy yet with the show on timeframe option, but I haven't found a way to get the values from the Visualization dialog box yet. That would be the ultimate goal.

I am really excited with the weekly and monthly indicators, they really draw dynamic support and resistance lines that can be used during your trading week.

Attached is a screenshot of this weeks EU weekly dealer lines and monthly GU.

Test this with your favourite pairs and let me know what you think.

GBPJPY

I laughed pretty hard when I zoomed out. Though I rarely zoom out on my 15-min/60-min chart. I have my Daily Chart for my Main pairs.

Monthly CDR on Daily Chart.

Doesn't display out at the Month-Chart option (which is good).

Weekly CDR only shows on the 4-Hour Chart and below. Not sure if that was intended.

Also, the Weekly needs to be set "past" NFP by 2-3 hours, at minimum. That post-NFP week loses all relevance due to the Nature of the price action at NFP.

Does this happen with all pairs? Or just JPY? This is the daily indicator?
It seems like the cbdr box is a bit of on this pair :)

edit: Ok, it's the daily timeframe, but the lines are drawn per day, so this might be expected behaviour :)
Maybe I just show a message when CBDR > 4H, or do not show anything at all...

The weekly calculates the ranges from NYO-End of Week at the moment, so it takes the 2-3 hours into account.

I'm aware of the 1D issue with the weekly. For > 1D it makes sense, because it just draws the lines for 1 week, so it's all within the weekly candle, hence not visible

Hi All,

Some new versions:
Daily version 1.09: You now have an option to draw to dealer lines for the next day: ' Also draw the dealer lines for tomorrow'
Weekly and Monthly version 1.01: You now have an option to only show the lines for a particular zone for the current day:
Show for the month
Show for current day only
Show for LO Kill Zone only
Show for LO Kill Zone short version only
Show for NYO Kill Zone only
Show for NYO Kill Zone short version only

This feature is useful if you want to open a graph and show all 3 indicators at once, and still not clutter the graph.
Keep in mind that if you specify this option, the draw for number of days option is ignored, so it's only for the current day

Hi Kate,

It had something to do with how I calculated the dealer range. I defaulted the min value to 999, but the indices do have values > 999 already. So it was never calculated correctly :)

So here you go:
CBDR v1.10: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR.ex4
CBDR WEEKLY v1.02: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR_WEEKLY.ex4
CBDR MONTHLY v1.02: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR_MONTHLY.ex4
CBDR YEARLY v1.00 (didn't bother to update the version :) ): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/307602/fx_indicators/_ICT_CBDR_YEARLY.ex4

Just to show you the power of those dealer ranges, take the GU today.

Note I do not draw any SR lines, I just use the ones of the dealer ranges.
Do you see the order block you need to look for. In most cases the dealer range lines lay them out for you.
A sweat free 30 pips could be yours by just playing with these dealer lines, confirmed by the USDx

Taking ADR into account, what do you say about the 1.6830 level? Clean some stop on the way...

Hopiplaka, any chance for a "Pip Range" indicator for the CDR itself? The CDR's net range has value, relative to its current range trend.

Just to add another version to it, haha. >:D

Do you mean like the weekly/monthly/yearly, a small box at the bottom of the screen?
It contains DR = dealer range and WR/MR/YR for week, month, year?

Or do you want to have a label inside the CDR telling the number of pips for the given dealer range (the tan box)?

I use ICT's old Kill Zone indicator, which I quite like, so I haven't used the vertical indicators much. So I'm just thinking "in" the Box. As some sort of toggle option.

Though if it could be displayed in the Upper Left corner like the ADR indicators, that'd be fine as well. (I do this manually for my main pair, but if I want to toss it up on random pair, that's more what I'm thinking about in asking. Plus, I'm sure a few hadn't noticed down at the bottom either.)

I've searched lots, but haven't found exactly the criteria for identifying the weekly, monthly, yearly CDR. I love the daily CDR and now use it all the time in my trading. If someone could briefly outline I'd be very grateful.

thank you
Kate
xx
