I also moved the post your workstations thread into the execution platforms section. I realized that the workstations thread is really the only one that's going to go under "hardware", and thus hardware doesn't need to be it's own board.

I will not rule this out... the idea has always interested me.

What has me cautious though is the population and use of the chat room. There's a special kind of spark that keeps a chat room active, and even the popular ones tend to be dead all but a few key hours of the day.. so I'd rather not just display a near-empty room on our front page for all to see (like babypips for instance, that chat is always dead despite the forum population they have.)

HOWEVER, one idea I have been thinking about is an 'on the fly' chat system where people can setup a meeting in advance and all show up to chat. For example, if the london open looks particularly good, a few people who trade it can gather together for a chat instance during that time. The idea would be to have purposeful chats that are populated and high in quality during targeted events/times, while not showing an empty room for the world to see all other times of the day.

Of course, I gotta dig around for the right software to do this kinda thing, and then have it work with the forum's authentication system.. so this isn't exactly a 'flip the switch on and try it' kinda idea. But I'm just saying that the suggestion is being noted and I'm working out a few ways it might fit here. :)
 
Of course, the very next thing updated will be more smilies with trader related options... that's been on the back log for too long and Ramy will blow a gasket if I do another feature update without new smilies. :p

Yeah, would be about time... lol.

A like button would be nice too... :p I tend to read and not participate, "cause" my explanations would be too long to type... Lazy..... :p

Pretty sure this makes no sense to you all, but to me it does… :)

Actually a "like" button is going to happen. I want it myself.
 
Might be nice to have a section for traded pairs, minies, stocks etc.. Something called "Traded instruments" or similar.

Yes, I've been considering this for a while and want it.. I just don't know the best way to break that section out to it's own place until we get a lot more members posting about individual instruments.

I'd also like to get more non-forex traders here, so maybe having a futures, options and stock section would help. I just don't want to create them now and have them appear empty.

Just the number and word "spider", or also "Google" "MSN" etc.. in the online users area?

I figured it would be nice to see which guest is a person and which is just a web crawler.

No one really cares which spider is crawling around in the main viewing area,or anyother area. Having had multiple websites, I do get your attraction to this. But as commented before… I am in no way beeing rude here, just so i am clear. :)

Maybe i am beeing a bit fickle, but it just annoys me, lol. Just like seeing real participants. No "biggy" really.
 
Okie, I'll make it so the spiders are only seen by myself.. and you'll just see individual viewers.

Just thinking about it and such info isn't really useful to anyone else anyway..
 
Nice to see that you have some really great open minded participants with knowledge (right or wrong) and are not fearing posting their ideas, which makes for a great forum.
