Simple Forex Tester

Simple Forex Tester is a great piece of software that enables backtesting within MT4, it even has multiple time frame capability, the perfect tool for practicing ICT's OTE Strategy.

For some reason since they updated MT4 its stopped working altogether.

Also, the developer, a switched on guy by all accounts, has stopped answering support emails, how strange!

My initial reaction was that Metatrader conspired to put a stop to it, however, I would have expected the developer to have fixed the problem.

Does anyone know whats going on with this? or if its possible to run an older version of MT4 without it updating?

I previously used the free "Trading Simulator", although have not tested with build 600+

MT4i now has a free Trade Sim app

I use Forex Tester 2 and I think it is a really good product. It is a separate application from MT4 so it will never stop working and it pretty much is an exact duplicate of MT4.

I have one major issues with Forex Tester 2.

It cannot use custom indicators or scripts, unless they are ported (rewritten) to FT2 language.

That was the killer for me. Other than that my understanding is that it is a good product, even at the slightly high price.
 
Gotcha, yeah that is basically like learning another language I guess so it is probably very inconvenient. You just mentioned it was good for practicing optimal trade entries and you don't need any custom scripts or indicators for that.

The same thing everywhere: traders cannot make money with basic indicators and that is why they come to a false conclusion that it is “the indicators’ fault”. As far as I remember, there are almost 50 indicators in Forex Tester. Why on earth anyone needs a custom one? Some fancy oscillator won’t make you successful – that’s for sure.

Moreover, those indicators that you can find in Forex Tester will probably cover 90% of all the existing trading systems.
If you are looking for a solid piece of software then Forex Tester is just the right one for you. Neither Meta Trader nor Simple Forex Tester cannot be compared with it.
 
Whenever I see the 30-day money back guarantee, I always purchase the stuff no matter what it is: software, educational course, an ebook etc. It is such an outstanding possibility to learn something new and if the stuff doesn’t meet my needs I can easily refund it later. Not for nothing but as a single post user this comes off as very sales'y... We're not a fan of shills here and I've gone as far as to blacklist products before based on it.

If you're from ForexTester, please say so now: I'll mark you as a vendor (which isn't negative, it just lets others know that you're here to represent a product,) and we'll move on. If you're not, no worries, but do interact with our community beyond just propping up products.

,Hello. This product very good, I like it has made me millionaire in only one time. When I want to make my money o only have to go back in the timeframe to see what the move happen before it does. Then I can place myICT OTE before it and make money, it's too easy even a cayman could do it.
