Late November Teaser!

First off: We're nearing the 10k post and 500 member milestone!

To celebrate, here's a teaser of the upcoming theme and site changes:

(Not the final product; logo and other areas will be different.)

A lot of work is going into the site itself: Not just the refreshed theme, but structural changes which will facilitate features we've been talking about for a while now (chart integration, making the chat room public, proper social integration, etc..) So hang tight! :)
 
who talked about making the chat room public? :( or do you mean a button on the page, but still only registered members can access?

Yup, only members will see it from the top nav bar, which is "public" in the sense people don't have to hunt for a link to the chat room placed deep in one of the ICT threads anymore.

There will also be multiple rooms so you can be with like minded people all the same.

Ohh... the like button isn't showing up for you. Mm... *tinkers*

EDIT: False alarm; the announcement board doesn't have 'likes' permission turned on but other non-reply-only boards do. For a moment there I thought you couldn't like *any* post at all.
 
is it possible that the "forum" button at the top switched places with the "search" button? i intuitively click on search a lot since yday..

Same here. We used to have a 'home' button to the left of the 'forum' button, and thus, you're used to clicking the 2nd button from the left to click 'forum'.. now that the 2nd button is 'search'.

But what's going to end up happening (with the new theme) is the home page is going away.. and the functionality it provides will be replicated on the forum index screen. So we'll eventually have no need for a 'home' button. I was just removing it in advance in preparation for the new theme launch.

That being said, I added it back, as I too have been clicking search a lot more often lately. ;P Funny how habits die hard.
