Hi all.

I am extremely reserved, but I will try to introduce myself.

I have been for years in this business. I trade full-time and one of the edges I have taken is the ICT methodology. That is the reason why I joined this forum, because I think here there is an active community.

For me, it is the quality, not the quantity what matters, because with good money management you can turn little into something big.

I started scalping FX and Binary options with pretty good results due to my knowledge of years studying Price Action. I quit BOs because the binary option issuers are scammers and they do not honour their obligations. So I just stayed in FX mainly. I trade sometimes metals and also like to track Stock Exchanges. I am not trading indices, thus I really do not know their mechanics.

I was also trading cryptocurrency-based binary options but it happened the same, that the issuers were just removing these instruments when they were seeing you were getting money from it, altering prices, charts, etc. Since the crypto spreads are too high and the execution in real crypto markets is so slow, I just do not trade these.

As I mentioned, I like to talk about trading and I never quit learning new approaches. For me one of the most important skills in trading is being part of the community and in contact with other individuals.

I have also a project related to quantitative trading because one of my backgrounds is Data Science, therefore I feel comfortable with Artificial Intelligence applied to Data Series, scientific computation, digital signal analysis and all that.

My prefered timeframe is the 1-minute timeframe, but I usually trade at the m15 timeframe due to the high cost of the 1-min tf. For long-term trading I prefer H4 timeframe that is actually H1 and in terms of setups, what I do is to track 1-hour cycle, 1-session cycle, 1-day cyclen weeky cylce and quarterly cycle.

Hello and welcome!

How far have you gotten with this approach? Where are you at now? Anything trading live?

I am not using yet automated systems to trade live, basically because I need to develop yet the whole trade and money management part.

Therefore my trading is completely manual yet.

In the past, I was researching in order to apply basically new automated Learning techniques like Random Forest, XGBOOST, Reinforcement Learning and non-convolutional deep neural networks on raw, transformed and smoothed financial data without relevant results.

For that reason, I changed the approach and what I did is first finding patterns to be traded and then use IA only within a predefined context.

And the approach I have taken is to create a parser that allows me to standardize the system's parameterization using expressions instead of writing code for each strategy. Instead of that, I have developed a system that can parse XML files and read the contents to understand how are the patterns and how to use these patterns. And then, with a proxy module, it can be connected to MT4, Ctrader, etc...

The current status is the refinement of the strategy parsing since the building blocks and the pattern modules are good enough to allow basic patterns already. I also created a small built-in lab to allow me to define the prior components with a visual aid.

My idea was starting doing something in about 3-4 months but I stopped in January because I want to focus exclusively on trading at least till June or July.

This stuff is not easy to explain, I hope it makes sense.

That's fine. There's a few users who are at the same stage or still working toward their full stack here. You should check out @sven 's posts about his journey.

Are you just manual trading your own account right now?

Sure, I will.
