i would love to see you 2 duke it out, but i'm just putting myself back together emotionally. i don't think a myfxbook challenge would be the best thing for me to take on right now lol

plus you guys can throw $1000 at the challenge and not give a fuck. i'm struggling with money right now, can't afford to divert the cash or the focus :(

You're a better trader. I'm okay with that. I know I'm not very good at this but it's what I wanted to do so I'm gonna do it.

ewwwwwwwwwwwww

money is a drug. rich people need rehab.

don't believe me?

take a rich person's money away and watch how badly they NEED it. observe their immediate change in emotional state once the money has been removed from their environment. it's actually quite sad and depraved...

Partially true. There are people. Happiness is more of an internal state, that producing positive results on its own. Me for an example, give me a reasonable shelter, can be even a one room apartment, fuel for the car, an occasional beer, and i'm a happy puppy. You can take the rest away, i'm not going to be happy about it(since its a bonus), but i'll still be happy(and yea it happened). You have no idea (and i hope you won't) in what kind of shitty situations i've been. If you are tying your internal state to outside objects, then outside things will control your state(eg the market) instead of you controlling yourself and then interacting with the environment in a positive manner and thus controlling your actions and influencing the world.
Now where is that consultation fee? :p

it's in the mail. you'll receive it in 6-8 weeks!

I would love to hear more about your shitty situations...

I just want to be good at trading. I don't even think it's about money. I just keep thinking "I've got this!" and then get smacked in the face with a losing week. Left shaking my head by wednesday thinking "how did I let this happen AGAIN".

But it's all my fault, I haven't been cutting risk appropriately and that guilt is likely the fuel for my bitterness.

I am getting much better though, I can tell. So close... just got to think less and do more. If I was doing it right, I wouldn't even be thinking about what I was risking on the trade... it should be boring and automatic.

Hey GG. I thought you were trading full time now... Surely if you built an account up high enough to be FT then the hard part is over.

Also I am wondering if you are trying to trade with your stops to close. I know ict has been pushing some concepts on better r/r ratios which require very precise entries and tight stops. For me, sometimes, its good to ditch the 15 minute chart and trade simple no brainer 1 hour or 4 hour setups. It really cuts some of the noise that those short time frames can't avoid in some market conditions.

...

No point in thinking i got this or not. The question is why do you do it? The money? iI think you have enough. To get it? Well ,you won't be perfect no matter what you do :p. To do it the best you can? Then you'll never get it, but you'll be better every day. And if so then why you are bitter about the money? It wasn't the objective in the 1st place. :p Clean up your internal shit. You are either playing to win and become better every day, or either playing to get money. You decide which one. But if its the 2nd, i would suggest to find a new career.
How did you let it happen? Well, anything can happen, so don't expect anything. That piper guy told you even ,half a year ago in that 10k thread that you'll fuck up if you follow this line of thought. Without flexibility of adjusting expectation you'll burn. But if the expectation is flexible, then why not just leave it behind, and instead of expecting(and thus wasting internal focus, and processing power on it, instead of where it should be: eg trading) do what you should do in the best way you can? And if thats not enough, tomorrow after the days lesson with the new learnings i'll do it even better? And if thats not enough yet? Well, back to step one again. :p

Well, being in a situation not so long ago, like a year +, not even knowing how the fuck i will pay rent. And stuff like that. And a few personal problems.
I also had a Jesse Livermore blow up. All these were good lessons. Instead of whining over what happens, if you getting out the most of it, its just a stepping stone to get higher, and not an unclimbable wall. Thats why all what you are doing right now to avoid losses will not work. And you know it. So i think its even fucking you up more. :p Its about consistency:

just the guy that talked and traded like you ...

And the point is that if you are able to reproduce those results every week?
FH0jGBK.jpg

Yeah. I can trade like him. ;) Even a bit better. Since the more you do something, you supposed to get better in it. Else you are doing something wrong. Watch the equity curve. Is it a 100% hit ratio? Hell no. But i'm happy with it. And it'll become better and smoother every week. ;) Think about nature. There is an universal law. You either grow, or you're dead, with no exception.

Automatic yes, boring? Hell no! Thats why i dont like the way Mike trading. Beeing a sniper is boring as hell. Sit and watch for days, then pull the trigger. Now get an assault rifle and rush in and shoot all of them is more interesting and it keeps you sharper on the edge. ;)
Now lets wrap it up with a great quote that been said to me a while ago ;)
The best trader that i'm lucky to know] “<<< pretty sure” Means nothing. Thinking is another bad word. You have an opinion said:
