"Most traders had the common experience of losing one or more fortunes before they realized how they needed to think in order to be consistently successful. It is a fundamental shift in attitude that accounts for their success, not some brilliant realization about the market, as most people erroneously assume.Taking responsibility means believing that all of your outcomes are self-generated; that your results are based on your interpretations of the market information and the decisions you make and actions you take as a result. Not taking complete responsibility sets up two major psychological obstacles that will block your success. The first is that you will establish an adversarial relationship with the markets thus taking you out of the constant flow of opportunity. Second you will mislead yourself into believing that your lack of success and trading problems can be rectified through market analysis."

that's perfect!

gotta love that book...

and Troy... maybe you never heard this part of the ICT biography, but there was a point where he changed jobs in order to accomodate his trading schedule.

That's dedication to a goal, and while you love using your long-hours job as a convenient excuse for your failing, the reality is you could get a different job!

I know what you want: wild success without any major life changes. Sorry man, it don't work like that!

Yea.. I can whistle it. 8) Got a short edition of 50 pages. When i was still working i made a commitment of reading it from the beginning to the end every day no matter what for a month until it gets engrained in my brain. It worked :D

Are you kidding me, serious...I do want wild success and I know it's going to take major life changes to do it. I could change jobs but even tho I work crazy hours (sometimes up to 32 hours straight) I am probably in the best position I could be in to trade. I am over our entire IT Dept which allows me to have access to a PC and the network at anytime.

Also if I wanted wild success without life changes then why do I average 3 hours of sleep a night trying to change my life through trading success?

Didn't we just determine that your inadequate sleep might be the reason you can't find consistency? Why are you suddenly wearing it as some kind of badge of honour?

Not just might. Trading is focus.

It's not a badge, it's just what I do to put food on the table...I am just saying if I change jobs most likely I wont have access to charts...The only thing I can really do is what you have done, quit my job and dive head first into trading, getting the required sleep I need to focus.

Well as you don't have a family to feed, it is obviously easier for you to do that. If I quit my job I only have about a week's worth of income in the bank to keep my family feed. So that is out of the question.

It would make things easier if I could quit my job and move into my parents basement to trade, but those days are long past...

maybe you could take a step back and realize that what you have already is enough to be happy. I seen your home office, you obviously got a nice enough house. probably a loving wife & kids. Enough money, a job where you're powerful and important apparently.

a lot of people in the world would be happy with that i think

Ye nice one book worm. Its also worth mentioning that holding an erroneous belief such as supply and demand moves the market will adversely affect your long term success.

Say Hi to Vic Noble for me.

you most certainly have a lot of friends on here.
Only two. Luckily they have everything figured out. They know everything cause ICT posts weekly reviews. I just hope for their sake he won't suddenly stop with that practice. That would be a real sad end to a trading career.

How about an hourly chart perspective with Fibs and hourly blocks marked out??

Someone ask me if you could have taken this trade with a 15 pip stop and made over 10% gain on your account in one day.

So that I can say YES, you COULD have taken this trade with a 15 pip stop and made over 10% gain on your account in one day.

IT IS THIS FUCKING EASY AND IT WILL NEVER GET ANY HARDER.

ARE YOU TAKING NOTES TROY ?? ?? ?? ?? ?

So Troy/Piphanger, surely you made money today...

that's as obvious as it gets so if you missed it... I dunno

I did not make money today, I did not take any trades today. I was up during LO watching price. Here is what I was thinking...

GBP/USD

4H was up until broken during LO, OTE & OB I was scoping was past this mark which would of caused 4H to be down. So no trade.

EUR/USD

4H was Up and stayed up. I was watching OTE and OB inline with 4H, but it was never reached during LO.
