Hi,

I have been following ICT tutorials and am now in a position where I want to demo trade. I downloaded MT4 from both alpari and forex.com but found that they do not support USDX charts. I would be very grateful if someone could advise?

Regards,
SAJ8

SAJ8Q,

Use MT4 from Forex Ltd for USDX as used by ICT: http://www.forexltd.co.uk/trade/mt4

A few of his followers also use the US Dollar Index as provided by FXCM.

The make up of USDX and US Dollar Index is different.
Here's a relevant info from another post in this forum:

FXCM USDOLLAR: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dow_Jones_FXCM_Dollar_Index
25% - Euro
25% - Pound
25% - Yen
25% - Aussie

USDX: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Dollar_Index

Euro (EUR), 57.6%
Japanese yen (JPY) 13.6%
Pound sterling (GBP), 11.9%
Canadian dollar (CAD), 9.1%
Swedish krona (SEK), 4.2%
Swiss franc (CHF) 3.6%

USDX is actually a future's contract itself, though rather lightly traded. The 57.6% Euro weighting is due to the combination of all of the Euro countries from when the Index was first created.

ICT uses FX Ltd from UK as his reference for USDX a USD account will include it. Some of the Aussies here use a FXCM AUD demo which includes USDOLLAR.

What he said. Though USDOLLAR is a chart of FXCM's own creation.

USDX is just the Cash Chart for the Future's contract. There are a few places with the Future's contract data as well. All work roughly the same.
