2:1 gain ? :O how to determine when to use a 15 pip stoploss ? I've got a 30 pip SL and am only aim to just scrape 25 pips TP.

Just look at the swing high + 15min OB + resistance. Place stops above technical level. Market wont respect your 15 or 30 pip SL. It will however, under statistical probabilities, respect a swing high or swing low.

Practice. Lots of practice. And making sure it's done in Demo. :) You start getting the proper idea when to use tight SLs and when not to.

Similar setup on GU now, only bullish this time around.

It's refreshing to know I'm not the only one camping that long. (My Cable trading still lacks a lot)

Banks are playing both sides of the CDBR/Asia highs and lows stops with measured moves/order blocks supporting these ideas. Clever tactics on their part I would say. ;-)

I honestly expected such moves as we have FOMC later on.

+1
for the short i saw the range, but what about the long? .6150 is good for TP, or lower? Or higher because it's the search and destroy environment :D

ps: great thread!

Instead of answering the question right out, let me ask you: If 70% of trading is done inside ranges, what would be your first target?

What would be your second target?

The first would be in the 62-79fib zone (6140 in this case), the second 100% @6150 ???

I agree with your first target. Not quite with the second. If markets are fractal, ranges within ranges, what would you consider as a second target?

aaaa, so the second target would be at a higher orderblock on the larger rage? like 6160 + 127 fib ext. ;D

I have noticed a particular recent "cycle"on GBPUSD.

LO opens above CDBR, inside some kind of short (OB, RES, RET.) and rides lower for a 'small' Judas Swing. Than, NYO, does the opposite: finds some sort of bullish environment and a second Judas Swing rides north.

Interesting to say the least.

Took a nice short on Cable along with one of my coachees/thread follower just a few minutes ago.

What a nice live experience.
