from an "outsiders" perspective: my advice is to listen to everybody (especially rod), you got so much mixed up

Not looking for advicethanks Topfroxx, only some evidence or even just a theory of how supply and demand is linked to Forex Speculation. Any ideas? or are you just going to tell me its a "label" like Gary?

move along and give up trading you cannot even grasp the basics. wtf back to order blocks and fibs for you my boy

Ah the basics, what every trader needs to know ey Gary, where did you learn about it? FX Street..

I didnt go to grad school, neither do I just accept "labels" without good reason and evidence.

The way I see it is that its a defunct concept used by traders that dont really understand the business least of all how to describe it in plain English.

I have been unable to put it in to words myself which is why I put it out to the Forum, from the misinformation to the trolling I should have known better.

Lol, I understand the knocking out part.

The second guy, Lasse Heje Pedersen, is way more interesting than the first, at least he is in the real world.

I'll bet he is the type of guy who would have recognized the liquidity risk associated with CHF beforehand and would have exited his positions when QE was being flagged by the ECB, or am I being sarcastic.

Note on the academics, they are good at writing and at theory, I have a close friend who is phd in business, teaches it in University, not really suited to being a good business person - that's life and the real world.

Foreigner is alluding to something foreign to us in retail trading - we think in terms of buying at demand etc. Wyckoff recognized this very phenonomen, he was amazed that many astute business persons would fail in Wall Street.

As a consequence he devoted many years of writing in an attempt to educate.

I have been testing this very theory of buying at demand and selling at supply - so far it seems as if I will join the "ghosts of Walls St" with my "charts rolled up under my arm", despite "peering over them in great detail".

Thanks Mr Wyckoff, oh and Foreigner also.

Out, just seen Peppa, but he is not really my favourite.

Have the kids not yet discovered George - he'll grow on you, especially the guy with the yellow hat.

The joys of being a Grandad :)
