I should add, if the opportunity presents itself to take a long upto this area, there should be nothing wrong with that either (especially since the USDX is at a longer term OTE on the daily chart, so we may see some weakness in the USDX which could lead to some EU bullishness...)

Follow yields baby :*

Thank you for that :D i take it there is a hint in the yields? :D

I am still new in trying to use other factors to help your trading decisions, like yields, USDX, interests rates and the COT report, this is something i personally have to really work on to improve, thank you!

Hi guys, i've just saw the episode 4 but i'm struggling with the "order block" concept. There are some "general rules" to follow to find them? has someone some examples? i'm following this thread and lot of your images are very helpful (keep them coming!) but i still don't get it...
Someone can take a look at this image and tell me if i'm doing good? The blue box should be an order block?

I think that could have been taken as an order block, BUT the markets structure was bearish at this time, and the market was gunning for the stop resting below that previous swing low in December, so when i look at order blocks on the daily chart, i look for a good rejection on the hourly chart to prove to me its where orders are resting, then i wait for an OTE or something to trade it in the direction we are looking for, go down to your hourly chart, and see how this order block reacted, maybe that will lead you to some clues...without the rejection, i think it is invalid

as a rule of thumb an orderblock is simply the last bearish candle before an uptrend and the last bullish candle before a down trend.

Still kicking myself i missed that gbpaud trade, 800 pips later!
and still going... oh well get over it :(

When you can count to 5 and say abc, your on the right track...
Price Action Cycle in EURUSD, never ceases to amaze me with the broader perspective of things

Have a look at the ICT concept buy signal, and the numbered chart buy signal, bottom two pics, signaling the same thing

Just finished reading:
Order Flow Trading for Fun and Profit - Daemon Goldsmith

Daemon previously posted under the handle of "Darkstar" on Forexfactory. His approach is similar to that of MH. ie looks for areas of likely stop hunts. Worth reading his material if, as I do, you subscribe to the ICT methodology.

Updated Gdayfx Corner, if anyone wants a peek, caught a couple of nice trades through the week, should have held them longer though!

Wondering...

I'm in for a nice NYO Sell entry @1.3640 (ideally would be 1.3646 but with spread and round number, it's ok), aim for 1.3515, hopefully before the FOMC :)

edit: Ok, 1.3670 was a better entry, the 1H order block.
Protective stop is 10 pips above LO, so still safe. For now :)
