hello ,
im new on trading , i just want to know if :

1-i can subscribe on live market data for (us stocks) on interactive broker with a real account but i want to use them in paper trading

2-on their site it mention that you need 500dollar in the account + subscription live data fees to get the ability to subscribe on live data , the question is if i can withrdraw my 500 after subscribing or the data subscription will be canceled

1) Yes
2) Think once the month is up you'd be knocked down to delayed data again.

If you're not going to use them to trade, then it might be a lot cheaper to use TradingView for real time charting.

Of course if you try to game their conditions your subscription will be cancelled. Their goal to urge you to generate commissions and live subscription they offer you is their investment upfront

I opened an account with Interactive Brokers last year, but I really didn't get on with it. There's so much red tape to navigate, I found the platform and whole experience to be really clunky. I was trying to purchase some stock from the French market and it was saying I had to request permission to trade that market, do some tests, jump though a thousand hoops. I withdrew my deposit and left.

I looked into it as well a while back but also found the process to be frustrating and just didn't like it, so I wound up moving on.
