Before I traded I used to be a freelance camera operator, nothing super professional, just a pro-sumer camera but on the pro side I was very temporarily a 2nd Assistant Camera Trainee, used to help build and maintain the cameras on set.

So what's your job/ or job you had before trading?

Before full time trading I worked in the mining industry in a production/labour role adding a night part-time position as a cleaner/janitor. Yes, glamorous ;D .
Night time job was added when I could see trading was viable option but the pressure of cost of living and trading would require funds outside of trading arena, and also the opportunity to trade Australian SPI & 10 year interest rate futures during the day.

Tell you, mopping floors and cleaning toilets sure makes you stick to your Stop Loss.

I'm used to be in the army for about four years(till 2007),now working as a filing clerk(driving me nuts) the good its that i got enough free time at work to learn and trade some.Hopefully I'll be a full time trader before the end of the year.

Yeah I knew I hit rock bottom when I blew that wheel barrel tire and people flipped their shit. Can't be utterly perfect where nothing goes wrong but the minute something does you better hope your can pin the blame on someone else down the totem pole.

Every walk home I used to tell myself, remember this pain, this is the pain your going to have to endure if you don't get your trading shit together.

hello folks,

I love this topics.

I work in the aerospace industries. More precisely in the physical logistic. Great company, great pay, lots of opportunity. But...... I just can stand anymore the management that come and tells you all the nice political craps about customer etc..... I truly understand the whole concept of business & investor. However, it is hard to work for people that cry wolf blind less. These people doesn’t realize that they are putting their career in priority prior than being customer focus... And us workers, we need to swallow everything they say even do they have no life experience...

however, meanwhile, I am planning to open up my contractor business in electricity with 1 of my budy. My trading objective is to be able to generate cash flow for funding an eventual growth in my contractor business.

Therefore, I am planning to see the light sometime this fall.

Cheers,
seb

Hey,

Ran a few businesses, director of operations, district manager, etc. Owned a pub for a while. Then got sick of dealing with employees, sold and started trading. Figured, hey business where always in profit and growing yearly, can’t be that hard to apply what I know/my business sense and my discipline to trading, lol. Wake up call was horrible. :/

Now work for a public transportation company, good pay, many benefits, and I like what I am doing. Flexible schedules give me all the time needed to garnish my pay with trading profits. :) Some setbacks along the way, but all back to being good. No wife and kids help with having time to trade and work... :/

Thinking this will be the plan till retirement… will see, can take sabbaticals along the way, so no worries on my end.

Cheers!
