ICT claims that you can use his forex methods in index futures trading. In fact, on January 6th he outlined how to approach Index futures in less the ten tweets.

I would like to use this thread as a journal or note pad as I dip my toe into index futures. I have no experience with this asset class so don't expect anything amazing. In fact, I am a bit rusty on all the ICT methodologies so as I post trades feel free to critique what I am doing. I am not trying to get rich or even to make money. I am trying to get a little experience in another asset class as well as develop some intramarket analysis skills to apply to my forex trading.

If anything, I hope this is at least entertaining. ;D Now to find a broker that has a good demo program...

Try the DAX

I think in pf-nzd they have almost all the indices. The broker supposed to be reliable. They are listed in the world top investor championship whats speaks for itself.
cheers

Why would you choose to rely on a marketmaker broker, instead of one who doesn't profit from your losses? Just my 2 cents

their spread blowouts @ newstime are criminal!

not to mention once they were down for an entire friday morning.

Oanda mt4 demo

I use Oanda to trade my forex account. The only thing they offer here in the U.S. is forex. I think their Europe branch has indexes.

Hello only recently started studying ICT materials so I am not really sure how to apply most of the material to futures. I am also a bit confused about some stuff. I'll share my interpretation of what was shared by Michael.

I havn't used 9/18 EMA or Order Block. I only looked for Judas and Divergence (of the 3 indices) in the first hour.

Please see attached images of 2 examples I noticed past few days. First example is the one ICT pointed out with nasdaq failing to make HH and then starts falling. This week Mon the dow makes a equal high while the other 2 made LH before turning the market up. Today (Tue) The dow made equal high while the other 2 made HH before the fall. All in the first hour of trading.

That is my understanding so far, look for divergences AGAINST the first major swing after open in the first hour to trade the other way. A bit like the Open, Rally (a bit), Selloff down bars that we look for in sustained down trends on the daily chart on FX.

I only used stock market hours charts (9.30-4) but I think if we want to add OB then we chart the overnight futures chart too and look for OB there (or maybe we use previous day's 9.30-4). Also not sure what timeframe to use for 9/18 EMA ? Probably daily but it would seem to cancel out a fair bit of the setups.

Anyway I'll continue looking for more examples as we go forward and post them here. Sincere gratitude to Michael for sharing this (and all the FX work), I am looking forward to the video tutorial in the future if you do decide to make one on futures/options/stocks. If this setup occurs on average once every few days that will be a great bag of coins there.

Nice analysis and welcome to fxgears and this thread. I have been busy with work and trading forex and haven't found a broker that offers Index futures with a free unlimited demo account. If anyone has a suggestion let me know.
