He said he'd try for Thursday & Friday NYO sessions this week. He has a thing about live streams during May. Not sure why.

Ah yes! Our ICT mentor works in mysterious ways.... ;)

We'll see if he attempts to take a month off this Summer, like last year. That only sort of happened, haha.

Unfortunately, I have just found out that I will have to pick the wife up from work early today, so I will miss this session yet again...

So I guess I will have to rely on your genius to post the recording once again! haha

sqa, just some well-intentioned advice. it seems (not only because of this post) that you are more concerned with ICT, his teachings, his videos, his personality, just ICT in general, than with learning how to trade to actually make real money. maybe you should shift your focus a bit. now that i think about it, it applies to probably about 80% on this forum.

I'll take the friendly advice for what it is, but what you see in the forums is a reflection of something incredibly energy unintensive. My trading is still coming along fine, at least with regard to the amount of energy I have to devote to actually looking at charts. The issue is that available energy. But at least I can drive again. That wasn't fun when my eyes quit on me for a few weeks.

Thanks for the posted link Sqa!

Just a quick question; do you use VLC or Windows Media Player for playback of the recordings?
I have both. Windows Media player works fine, but I prefer VLC, but I only receive sound and a snapshot on the twitter recordings. Yet, when I playback all ICT website modules, the VLC works perfect!

Just curious to know what you use for your playback.... ;)

Thanks Sqa

Same issue here, no Video on VLC Media Player. I've found that the video plays fine on 'anything' else, including my 'smart' TV, Pots player, WMP etc etc.

It seems that VLC has an issue with the Frame rate. A quicjk check revealed -

VLC Media Player - ICT problem codec
Codec H264 - MPEG4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
resolution 1920x1080
Frame rate 5,000123
Decoded format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV

No problem
Codec H264 - MPEG4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
resolution 1280x738
Frame rate 30
Decoded format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV

No Problem

resolution 1280x738
display resolution 1280x720
Frame rate 30
Decoded format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV

VLC, though not the latest version because some of the extensions don't work with the latest. No problem for the last few years.

Thanks Rod, I appreciate the input!

It's good to know I'm not alone with this issue.
Oh well, i guess I'll have to stick to the windows media player, although, I do like it that when you turn off the VLC playback and continue at a later date it gives you the option to continue from where you left off!

Anyway thanks Rod... ;)

Thanks Palmy!
I am using the 2.2.1 version. I might search for an earlier version, thanks. :)

Cheers

Palmy, YOU ARE THE MAN!
Thanks buddy.

Try one of the following Rod!

I wanted to attached both 32bit and 64bit files of the VLC 2.0.8 version media player for anyone having the same issues, but for some reason it won't post.
So just Google and download. They are the first options on Google...

These versions work perfectly... ;D

Cheers!

I'm using VLC 2.2.1

Seems to be a bug in this version, which I am supposing will be fixed at a later date. In the interim it is no trouble to use WMP etc. Additionally Michael is aware of the issue and can tweak his codec output if he so desires. Suspect(??) a change to the framerate or resolution would do the trick.

I am now using VLC version 2.0.8 64bit without a problem!
All you have to do after downloading, is to install, but make sure you uncheck the 2 VLC updates... ;)

Also for those who do not know, it is important to uninstall any previous VLC versions first before installation.

Cheers!

Where and how do you change the codec so the video will work?

It took me all of about 3mins to Google VLC 2.0.8 64bit version, download, uninstall old, re-install new, and now I can watch anything ICT produces... ;D

The current live streams are encoded by Citrix's system and ICT downloads them, I'm fairly sure. Citrix has its own codec it converts out of, so I think that's also some of the issue.

Personally, I use MPC-HC with properly installed LAV Filters under madVR. I normally suggest the CCCP codec/MPC-HC installer pack if you're on Windows. VLC is awesome for its general ability to play anything, but I like to have my system running most effectively.

Thanks Sqa!

I will investigate as an alternative...
