ICT Forexmas 2014 / Market Maker Series

FTMO Trader Scouting
Hi all,

Recently come back to trading after a bit of a break and I'm trying to catch up on what I've missed. I'm going through the ICT videos, but looking on his site, everything after MM 6 is missing. Does anyone know what's up with that, or where I could potentially get another copy of MM 6 - 12 from?

Thanks.

"I will be closing shop in March and this is my final lesson to you all. Live analysis real trades full access. No demo trading."

Statements like these means ICT is about to get into a big trade.

They'll be released over the next 2ish months.

Good morning folks! ;)
I just popped on this morning to see what the latest was among the Gearheads...
Just so the readers are aware, I get somewhat agitated when I am prodded and pushed. I've always been this way, before affluence, with everything. I'm not a conformist. Which makes my teaching expensive. The readers are subjected to long waits and "useless" rants between material releases. Now before you get your britches in a knot and go full bore sourpuss on ICT... please allow me to remind you of something.
I started this Waltz in teaching as a self-serving project. I am interested in the responses, the results, performance and stories of each of you. Despite my carnival like atmosphere at times, this is not really about me. I am killing two birds with one stone. I am satisfying a curiosity in me as a Trader and simple voyeur as well as encapsulate my understandings of Trading over 20 years. I have children I want to provide this insight for. You all are the audience of this project.
I get numerous emails and public torch in hand and pitchfork aiming trolls calling for more of this or that from me. Please take this with ego as far from the point as it can be taken: I don't march to your drum. In fact it incites more delays just to irritate those parties. I'm in no hurry as you have possibly noticed of the years. I have no deadline. I have no marketing timeline to adhere to. This is where most of the detractors stumble. I will not be manipulated into doing something before I am willing. Stubborn and one way, that's always been me.

It amazes me how ICT says he doesn't care about dead lines but is the first to put dead lines on his videos, his works, etc. He said he would be done in March 2015, but we all know unless he cancels the Market Maker Series he will be going on long past 2015 (at least that is how long he will span out this series). If this is so called a project for him to his children then why does he care about what we say about him? Why? I don't understand, we all have free speech and can say as we want but if you dare say anything bad about ICT he will let you have it. Who cares if it's free and others are ripping him off, that happens to everyone. Look at other Mentors Strategies online, how many others do you see teaching the same thing for different cost? Does it matter?

It's funny to read things like "put up or shut up" from Golden Bullshit. The fact that folks like this take the time to post things like that shows inward weaknesses. ICT doesn't have to put up anything. I put up enough. Where did I say I must prove to you anything? I elect to show results of trades both live and simulated as a record. If I have taken a loss, I will and would show you. I do not trade a lot. I trade very little actually... this is why my results are as good as I claim.

We are not the ones that forces you to put up a MyFXBook account, you did that on your own. You said you would open the curtains behind the traders as no one has ever done before, we are still waiting to see the curtains open. I can see why you hid your account on myfxbook to others seeing your trades, but is there a reason you hidden the results after the fact, so we can see how it progresses overtime, no is asking to see it live, why hide it completely? Unless there is something truly to be hidden from it. If you show it at the end with 20 million do you think that will actually do anything for anyone? It would be better to see it go to 1 million over time, then poof there you go.

That is where the struggle begins with you, the reader, trying to trade more than ICT does. I have experience, something I can't teach, to know which setups I elect to take. Some are better than others... and some I am incorrect on. I have the understanding as a Mentor and many years in interfacing with pupils both via the internet and face to face; to know my results are not helpful to the pupil. It is merely a curiosity within those who "must know". It doesn't help you Trade my methods better. In fact, it will give you a false sense of security as my results are based on over two decades and just because I do it... does in no way guarantee you or anyone else will likewise. Sorry, but that's just the Truth.

This can be said, and is said by almost every mentor out there. They don't want show you how to trades, they want you to learn how to trade even if it doesn't make sense to anyone. All I hear is here is how you do it, but damned if you say anything as to why, how, etc. about a trade, they just tell you keep studying, you aren't studying enough. This is a trap that all mentors get you in no matter if it is free or cost 20,000 dollars, it's all the same BS.

Now to show how I deal with losses in a MyFxBook environment I will trade more frequently than I actually do. Not for a long time, but for a month or two. I will undoubtedly take a loss. I will mitigate that loss as I teach should it manifest. I will do this at my timing and choice. When I sunk the babypips Fxbook I did so to scare those wanting to mimic me and my trades. You can feel like a smartass and post what you want concerning why you think or believe the reasons were behind it. I can assure you it was not lack of ability nor was it stage-fright. I manage over 200 million dollars in fund, do you think I am losing sleep over a few thousand dollars in a retail account? Again, those who believe that clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

Again why would you hide the complete account if you didn't have anything to hide. You can show you after results on myfxbook without having others copy you, not sure if you know this? If babypips was your starting ground and you had a lot of followers that supported you on this forum, why would you take them and drowned them for fun? Doesn't make sense for a mentor that things he is all that and puts himself up on a pedestal with the Chris himself?

I have no future service. I scared, hopefully, those who hold to that idea. This is not about ICT... it's about everyone but ICT.

The more this drags out, it's all about you and your success. If someone as simple as bumps into you, you run your mouth about them, don't make it seem like it's about us when we all know it's about you!

Have fun kiddies 8)

My point exactly, calling use kiddies because we are below you, just where you want us!!!

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST:
I got an e-mail from my good friend Troy (Piphanger) asking to post his retort to ICT's message. Problem is I don't check that e-mail very often, so this was actually from January 24. I'm very much obliged to relay Troy's opinions, and do apologize for the delay.

PS
Don't ask me to relay messages back to Troy, I'm sure he will read them on his own! :))

there is a layer of frustration and sacrifice that you'll never understand rod, living in that oh-so-convenient timezone of yours! LO is quite the challenge to be consistently awake for when you have a job and family that run on normal hours. It is still a challenge to me. I guess I am lucky myself though, being a natural night owl. I was talking to my mom recently, and she was telling me stories of how her mom would do housework all night because she couldn't sleep normal hours... runs in the family :D

Rather perplexed as to the rationale of where one lives is someone else problem. About time some take personal responsibility. Additionally, one one cares, least of all moi.

Man, that Troy fella sure seems a tad salty about ICT. Obviously I don't know him or anything, but I read all his earlier posts and what not. Hopefully he's doing better now. Maybe decided to go back to the drawing board, fire up a demo account or something.

I'm brand new to all of this, so I'm in the process of proving ICT's methods to myself. It almost seems like some people feel that this entire ICT thing is a big conspiracy. Maybe it is, I don't know - maybe ICT actually works at mcdonalds flipping burgers all day, and he has to talk quietly sometimes in the videos so the manager doesn't hear. Maybe if you listen real carefully in some videos, you can hear "Michael, where are those damn Big Macs!?" Maybe this is some big elaborate joke to him, and he just wants to waste years and years (making some scarily accurate price predictions in the process) wasting people's time for fun.

That's pretty unlikely though, right? I mean even as a complete beginner who has only taken a couple rudimentary demo trades so far (dumb luck is not something I've factored out), using basically nothing but some order blocks and concepts I don't fully understand, I think I can see the potential in ICT's stuff, once I've actually put in some serious time and understood/experienced it.

As for ICT's personality and all that jazz... Ugh, does it really matter? I don't know, personally I don't get hung up on stuff like that - I care about the results. Are there actually people out there that are waiting on the edge of their seats, dying for that next Market Maker video to come out, hoping to themselves "This will be the ONE, this next video he releases, this will be the one that makes me profitable." I mean damn, I've seen some people commenting on twitter and stuff saying they've been following him for 5 years, and are still not profitable, and think the next video release will be the one that does it for them. Seems like false hope to me. Those people maybe need to take a step back and reassess things.

Of course, I don't have a family of my own to provide for. Work and family can take a lot out of a person, and it's certainly much harder to go full-bore with some unfamiliar venture like trading (that demands focus and even some odd scheduling for those of us who aren't basically handed trading success on a silver platter (Aussies) just kidding, don't get mad, completely a joke.)

But what do I know? I'm just a measly demo trader. Maybe soon I'll be joining those individuals. Naw to be honest, I think if it didn't start working for me within 5 years (probably much less than that), I'd do something else with my life.

I sure hope that Troy guy is doing better now though, and that everything is well with his family.

For those that might be new to the Troy/PipHanger drama, it has a significantly larger amount to do with Troy's emotional state & losing a lot of money from overleveraging. Are there criticisms to be made of ICT? Sure! There's a reason this is the "Forexmas" thread for the Halloween release of the Market Maker series that only has through Ep #5 released. ;D

At the same time, what you really need to get your trading off the ground has been available for a while. But the Time, Effort and Learning are all on the individual. There's a reason a lot of the "beginning" videos are about developing as a "Trader". The system doesn't matter when you can't functionally pull the trigger properly & consistently.

And if you can't make LO? Sure, that's a little rougher, as Cable/Fiber tend to give clearer setups (due to liquidity seeking) than other pairs, but you can trade AUD, NZD and Yen (plus Yen Crosses) during Asia or CAD during NYO. Not everything, in the Daytrading sense, applies perfectly the same, but that's the part of learning. Which really seems to be the crux of the problem with a lot of people: they don't want to Learn, they want to be Given.

Yeah, I guess it's harder for me to understand people's frustrations with the delayed release dates, since I'm new and have quite a bit of content to work through to get caught up with everyone else.

As far as wanting to be given rather than learn, it's certainly something I have to constantly fight in myself to some degree. It's tempting to want to open threads and start asking all sorts of questions in the learning phase, but I recognize that most of those questions would probably be answered on their own just by continuing to study ICT's stuff and applying it to the charts.

It reminds me of ICT's tweeted photos of his inboxes. I have to wonder how many of those emails are questions like, "Wat do?" "You teach me how trade?" "Gimme money?" "Wat order block?" "Me go through all your videos, me still not understand, you InnerCircleTraitor"

Maybe not though - maybe they're genuine questions that people are stuck on. :ponder:

One can only wonder.

Guys this sounds a lot like a rant from someone who lost loads of money.
ICT puts a disclaimer on his videos, so what's this now?
If someone thinks what he says it's a load of BS I am ready to hear their methods in their own videos...
and don't forget the disclaimer.

As I said in the past, the only thing I'd be happier from all of you and ICT as well is to see a bit more the losses you take, the pupils need also that psychological touch to keep learning from my point of view.

Eh, a lot of them are what you think, but ICT does have enough of a following that there tends to be a group that hones in on a concept that's not clear. At least, that's what I gather from him mentioning about Email questions in Live Sessions.

If you do have ICT Style questions, you're free to drop by the chat room during the trading week. If I'm around, I'm generally willing to answer what I can. I can't answer every question (as a lot of things just take practice with the tools), but general ones/"what to go over again"/"important gaps you might have missed on the first pass" are all open game. And, well, we have a lot of time to sit and stare at charts.

In other news, over the next week, I plan to get the old ICT Torrent into a cloud-storage hosting location, mostly so I can just hand out links to the old stuff.

That would be really cool sqa - I haven't made a real effort to find the ICT torrent yet, but I know in your thread on studying ICT's material you mention a bunch of stuff on the bottom that you say can be found in "the torrent." So I'd like to check all that stuff out at some point, possibly once I'm done getting through precision trading series (unless I should just hop right into Market Maker.)

Also, I had no idea there was a chat room. I'll definitely be stopping in at times! :))

For those who have been following ICT for years, why? What immediately-useful concepts did you learn over those years that you didn't learn at the beginning?

Just curious.

I'm not sure the time line of some of the really important videos, so that's an interesting question for the people that started in late 2010. Granted, you won't find many around here that have been around that long.
