Combining Indicators

How do you combine indicators to improve Forex trade accuracy? Any rule that you follow?

From my experience, pairing a short‑period EMA with stochastic for entry, and a longer SMA for trend direction gives clean setups without analysis paralysis

I just kinda look at the trend like is it going up or down, then check if it’s actually got the steam to keep going. If both say yep, I jump in.

Stacking indicators that measure the same thing just gives you false confidence. I’d rather run one trend filter + one timing tool and then validate with a simple backtest/forward test—if it doesn’t improve results, it’s clutter

I think the key is not to overload the chart. I personally use just 2-3 indicators max: one for trend direction (like 200 EMA) and one or two for timing entries (RSI + Price Action).

Totally agree with you. I’ve had much better results after simplifying to one trend filter + one timing tool and then confirming with clean price action.
