is everyone in? ;D

very interesting 3-peak divergence on Fiber/Cable.

hope you took your (countertrend) profits, although I suspect not, as you are a bottom picker.

I don't know what you're talking about. I think you are seeing what you want to see to be honest.

Cable: Potential Search and Destroy

Here is something I'm watching for the FOMC minutes, and perhaps going into tomorrow as well.

It seems they've been holding price within these bounds to run those juicy stops during a high-volatility event...

we'll see

I was expecting that you would have already 'reported' on a 70 plus pip profit on yesterdays Cable Long.

Not wanting to see anything, just interested if you are still Long Cable. Are you?

Now the question that requires some thought is, 'has the Cable made it's weekly high?'

oops, I forgot to post this 100+ pip winning setup in hindsight!

What a fool I was for posting this before it happened. rod178 and piper won't be happy with me ;D

hope you didn't get burned too bad on those FOMC minutes!

If you practice what you preach, you would've been short going into that release (or flat if you're a pussy I guess).

It's nice that you came on my thread to paint yourself into a corner. So obvious you lost money today.

Peace 8)

I'm quite gutted as I was long the cable at the daily low before FOMC. I moved to BE and went to bed only to find it hit the low before the move up. Absolutely gutted....

To be fair to rod and anyone else who's reading, I wouldn't exactly say that you 'called a 100+ pip setup' before it happened.

You said price was being held in a range, marked off an old high and low, and said they should run stops with high impact news...

That's just kinda like saying 'after this news release price will take out either this high or this low' . I definitely do not see you calling a move such as 'price is being held ABOVE this low and after we run the stops @2pm it will take out this high.'

What I'm trying to get across is that your explanation only hinted one or both of those swing points would be raided, not WHICH one, or in what manner they would be ran/reversed.

Just keepin' it fair for the sake of the arguments back n fourth 8)

Not at all, actually the day, and entire week, was quite profitable, up nearly 100pips.

Do not trade FOMC as, at 2am, it is well past my bedtime plus too much of a 'crap shoot' for my liking.

I'm not preaching anything, just wanted an answer to my question before after the fact.

No comment on the cable setup I posted before the FOMC minutes were released? 1 Hour and 40 minutes before.

But I understand the sleep thing, sorry, I forgot your timezone perspective.

yes, I need by beauty sleep.

No , just read the comment and a Long entry on the stop hunt would have been the go for the Cable.

Cable Long

Here comes another Cable Long setup.

Key Level: 6160

Great little LO trade. HTF suggested long bias.

Here's the full dual-screen perspective, for reference:

Hey GG,

Do you use the OTE on the fib as resistance turned support also?

Seems that Mario does not agree with Janet as to where we should pull those Fibs. Down we go!!

Cable/Fiber divergence @ NYO

Don't worry, no hindsight trades on that one, I packed up shop for the week after that LO win. :))
