Re: a cable buy (counter-trend)

Correct, good that someone decided to point that out.

Actually Market Structure can be objectively defined, this powerpoint presentation may help. There is also a video. I like Linda Raschke , she is a straight shooter.

So if Aug.25 wasn't a market structure shift, how come the low formed on Aug.25 still hasn't been penetrated?

Hmmm?

Reality trumps theory every time.

Hmmmm. Not enough orders been collected yet?We didn't hit a significant enough supply level until now(like we did today)? If it didn't happened for now, it doesn't mean that it ain't coming ;)

I have the video upon which the Powerpoint Presentation is based. I'll upload it later.

The power of the Retrospective Trader never fails to impress.

I designed the game so that I always win, and it pisses you off. Don't worry, I get what it's all about.

Feel free to be the hotshot that fills a thread with forecasted calls and live trades. You could be the first ;D

Wow, you're a library of trading videos. I guess you assume that if you have enough videos, you'll eventually become profitable? lol

Hiding behind the credibility of other traders. It's a fair strategy, but don't knock me for being my own trader and sharing my actual thinking and trading setups. At least I'm not constantly referring to other people, hahaha

Retrospective Trades are a little sad. Pulling fibs "to" past prices is even sadder. haha indeed.

OK - for tomorrow stalk a Long Cable 16575. Obviously being the retrospective expert that you are you'll get the timing right after tomorrows NYC.

As for a Trading Library, well it is not directed at you, being the Retrospective Expert I thought you may have already been aware of Raschke's material since ICT acknowledges her as a big influence on his approach, maybe you missed that part.

I will post the video for those new to the concept of Market Structure. You may also find it informative, although I doubt that it will improve your retrospective trading technique. Must be great having a 100% success rate, with a TP only limited by the best high/low on the chart. I'm envious, although I do suspect that my bank balance is several multiples of any Retrospective Trader, including maybe even the Golden Gun, you Sharp Shooter You! Too bad your Broker does not bank those pretend dollars .

Anyway, bedtime (3am). I'll post the video tomorrow.

PS there were some good trades last month.

6575, eh?

There's some real juicy stops below 6560 that I guess you can't see.

I assume you're pulling the same obvious fib that I am. Don't expect it to get past 62%?
Even when a run to 78.6% (@6558) could take out those juicy stops?

It's only Retrospective from your perspective. It's all Live for me and my account. 8)

Forecast time!!!!! Just to screw both of you i'll short it tomorrow around 1.663-4ísh , or not depends whats gonna go on tomorrow!
G'night..

When it gets up there maybe I will as well.
For the other act I suspect that you would require the Light Sabre

"Don't expect it to get past 62%?" really?
Fibs are merely a toy. I do not enter trades based upon Fibs.
Stops. - Actually the big ones are further down than that.

Well good luck with whatever you do use. If your setup turns out well, maybe you could outline your setup with a chart or two, so people can see what you enter your trades based upon.

That would be a great learning experience for everyone.

I just use Price based Horizontal Support and Resistance with Timezones, to (probably) tag along with Institutional Order Flow. I have an open mind on the worth of Sam Sneiden etc.

Whilst I am happy to sometimes share tools I do not believe that making trading predictions or retrospectively curve fitting techniques, as actual entries, will help anyone. All have to find their own way through the jungle. Most will be eaten along the way before they possibly find the Elephant Burial Ground, natural selection at work. Maybe a sharper knife, rather than more knives, will increase the survival rate. The puerile bickering (both of you), as well as multiple nonsense graphics/icons, does not assist anyone. If you find the material posted on the Supply and Demand thread tedious and elementary, simple, do not read or post on that thread.

Here is the Rascke video, doubt that she would put up with either of you, maybe I'm simply too forgiving.

All good stuff from Linda. Strictly traditional TA with matter-of-fact insight from the trenches. Good resources Rod. Libraries are good things!

Maybe he could make a thread about it, and maybe you could talk about it on his thread.
