Axitrader Feedback

Axi down again. Over 10 minutes so far

Actually intermittent all day

Only use them for testing now, have no trust whatsoever

Hmmm... interesting thread. Any new data on Axi?

I've had funds sitting with AxiTrader for over a year but haven't even logged on for months. I did notice multiple dropouts which caused me to move to ThinkForex. If Axi is still causing grief I should close the account and retrieve my funds.

Over the last week or so I've been experiencing multiple brief (well, up to some minutes!) dropouts with TF. This has been very disappointing. If it continues I will move on but just where to is an awkward question.

They stated that it was my internet connection. I could not be bothered telling them that my other three brokers did not have any concurrent outages.

They've been a bit more consistent this month...

seems so, although it is their repeated lack of acknowledging that there is a problem that irks me. Several months ago they sacked there IT person responsible for their US server contracts, so maybe, at least internally, they are coming around.

I also experience my MT4 Axi server connected terminal 'locking up' is periods of high volatility.

I think I'll just open up an Axi terminal and watch it for a while. It will be interesting to see Axi and TF side-by-side. Every provider faces technical glitches from time to time. How they respond is what matters.

Would be interested to learn whether or not you experience terminal lockups during periods of high volatility.

OK, I'll keep you posted if I experience any issues. When I fired up the Axiware it performed the 646 update and has been chugging away faultlessly so far. Early days.

The next couple of dropouts by ThinkForex just happened. They were only very brief but I don't like them.

No problems with AxiTrader.

I'm waiting to get some to find out. :))

In the past they have responded in the way one expects associated with the cause, such as for example, news driven volatility. This hasn't caused any problems because I stay out of such events. I have never been aware of any freezing but obviously wasn't trying to execute so have limited data. No problems with volatility associated with things like LO and I'm happy to trade those times.

The bad runs of dropouts I've had in the past didn't seem to be associated with particularly high volatility periods. Any dropouts at all is too many though. An extremely rare one or two needn't be a huge worry but even if they are, one just has to accept them as part of the risk profile for online trading. It's the repeated ones, the runs of outages, the periodic recurrence, these are what get me. That is in the realm of technical problems that need to be addressed and the attitude towards them and management of them become critical factors in deciding broker suitability.

up again - been out so not sure how it performed today
Others on Axi just told me had a similar outage

Same here, though just the once, presumably about the same time.

Just brief outages like TF has had recently.

Actually it would be interesting to know what time your journal logged the outage. The times shown above are AEST. Mine was a single 26 seconds outage.
