Axitrader Feedback

FTMO Trader Scouting
sometines there seems to be something amiss with Axitrader feeds

eg
GBPCAD 2013.09.20 10:30 server

a 400pip bullish pinbar

give up a break!!!,. does not appear on any other broker feeds

Yeah, nice spike. I have seen this before with others, and if trades were affected they would be rectified. Not even sure if trades do get affected by this... Jack explained why this happens on another brokers thread, but I forget what he said. Something about a bad tick beeing pushed through, or similar.

If you trade this pair, or any other pair, and are seeing this affecting your trading I would definitely contact support to resolve this issue.

This.

Off market prices (ticks that just didn't happen in the underlying market) that impact your trades should be dealt with by the broker. In most cases they'll make the account whole and set it right.

If the spike was caused by a news release though, then you might need to do a little convincing with examples of other broker's feeds... but I digress.

Yeah, haven’t followed through either, and neither has anyone else elsewhere i read done so. Will chalk it up as a bad moment…

P.S. Alpha, if you want, I can email my account manager for a more detailed explanation. Think they might have some answers at this point, or excuses all lined up...

None the less, besides this episode, and spreads a bit wider than others, i still like these guys. Time will tell. Not as main, but secondary and thereforth.

Axitrader had numerous dropouts, lasting a second or more, during last NFP release.

Obviously there are still underlying issues in their feed stability during peak periods

... additional to the above

My understanding is that the issues are related to the US server.

More short (one second) dropouts again today.

Apparently Axi are fobbing off complaints with "...probably some indicators are incompatible with build 610...".

I believe this not to be the cause, rather it is their US server.

More issues today.
The sever is slow, say 15 seconds, to respond to moving stops.

Also lots and lots of one second dropouts

Lots of drop out issues today and yesterday. Pending orders takes 2 tries to delete. Giving me phobia when managing small time frame positions as to whether I am interacting with inaction or just market is slow!

At least Axitrader now admits that there is an issue;

"..We are currently experiencing an issue with the company that hosts our servers. We are looking into this with a matter of urgency. There was an issue which was fixed but it seems that there has been a knock on issue which we are looking into..."

If they own up to it and rectify loses occurred do to this/these issues, i would say they are still ok in my book. I don’t use them as main, but as secondary... they still hold firm. Seeing that a few other well established brokers had some issues as well in the past few weeks, it’s part of life in the trading world.

Just my toughts.

Thanks for the update.

I did not experience any more dropouts on Friday, although I was not on line that much, so will wait until next week to determine whether or not I dump Axi forever.

Recently I was talking with a competing broker who were trying to sign me up. When asked which broker(s) I was currently using I mentioned Axitrader, amongst others. Their response, without prompting, was "..we have had a lot of inquiries from Axi customers who are unhappy about the feed/server stability.."

Apparently the issue is widespread and has initiated a significant number of Axi customers to look elsewhere. Furthermore, my recent understanding, from another trader, is that that Axitraders's IT Manager, responsible for setting up the US server contracts, was recently terminated.

More problems today. Server seems to lock up on price volatility

I've decided to give Axi the flick. They are a total waste of space. I have no trust in them whatsoever.

Looks like another unhappy customer. Second consecutive NFP night the servers played up. This time I was told 3 servers went down and I have some live orders. It was blamed on my laptop when I couldn't even place a stop loss order, then I don't get any ticks going and finally they say the obvious.

Anyone having issues with Pepperstone? I hear good things about them.

Data gap tonight was 90minutes

Congratulation Axi - a new record
